FAQs
General Questions
How safe are Verossi instant boiling water taps?
Verossi taps have multiple spring-loaded redundancy locks, which means the tap cannot be left running without holding the lever in place or switched on by curious children. Our sputter-free spouts are particularly engineered to stay insulated from the inner flow of boiling water while delivering piping hot water in a continuous and steady flow. Each boiling unit is pre-programmed with "safe-modes," which means that if your water supply fails for whatever reason, your system will react and prevent overheating.
Are your taps compatible with my existing sink & worktop?
For installation, all Verossi Boiling Water Taps require a 35mm industry standard hole. Our taps are one of the most adaptable boiling water taps on the market today, compatible with Belfast sinks and worktops up to 30mm thick.
Are boiling water taps expensive to run?
Absolutely not. It depends on your electricity provider. An rapid boiling water tap costs roughly 3p per day (assuming you use 3 litres of water each day).
Is it like having the kettle boiling all day?
Yes, but it's lot cheaper and more efficient. The boiler uses an innovative, low-energy, insulated pressure tank to heat water from your kitchen's current cold-water supply. The water remains in the tank and is heated to the temperature you specify (between 75 and 98.9 degrees) with the touch screen temperature controller. You just crank the hot water handle on your tap to dispense it. Because of the innovative boiler, the tank can maintain a full 2.4 litres of water hot to 98.9 degrees all day for the same price as boiling a kettle once.
My Tap is not flowing
- Disconnect all of the Flexi hoses from the tap and blow through them to insure no blockages in the Flexi houses
- Replace the Flexi horses from hot to cold vice versa, which one is dispensing. For example, if there is no cold water switch the cold water Flexi hose to the hot feed. This will show that there are no faults with the Flexi horses and it is a milling issue.
My boiling tap is not providing good temperature
1. Place a tea towel around the boiler barb/silicone hose, move the fixing clip and take the silicone hose off, please have a bowl or bucket close by and place the end of the silicone hose in this to catch any residual water, then place the thermometer/ meat probe into the boiler barb / boiler and record what temperature this reads at. We suggest you take a photo of the reading.
Boiler blowing electrics
- You will need to provide confirmation of your water bar pressure.
What is the minimum pressure required to run your Boiling Water Tap
The minimum pressure for these taps is 1 bar and maximum 3 bar.
Will the taps work on EU voltage 220?
It is recommended that our products are not adjusted to EU voltage.
Cost of Running the Hot Boiling Tap
The costs for a 3 in 1 and 4 in 1 are the same as the only item that is used more is the filter but not the boiler.
Prior to energy price rises, the standby cost of our unit unused is around £37 per year, then 1p per litre of water dispensed. The data at this time was compared to a kettle boiled when 3/4 full costing 5p. Due to the increases, we do need to update this with more testing but are currently waiting for the energy prices to be more stabilised.Â
I have a water softener, will this affect this tap?
We don’t recommend water softeners on the system as this can cause the water to negatively impact the internal parts of the boiler or pipes. This is due to the salt that is used and can then lead to the corrosion of the pipes or internal tank/heating element in this case that would cause other issues further down the line.
What is the re-boil time for the Hot boiling tap.
Usual 6 to 8 minutes from cold and water tank totally drained.
Is the boiler hardwired into the wall or has a plug
This has a plug and no hardwiring required.
Would the Hot Boiling Tap work in Europe
It would not be compatible.
E3 Error Code on Boiler unit
An E3 error message on the tank indicates there is not enough water in the boiler tank.
Normally to remedy this you could turn the tank off and allow to cool, once cooled down disconnect the two pipes (water supply doesn’t need to be turned off for this).
Turn the boiler tank upside down over the sink and drain completely.
Reconnect the pipes and run the boiler side tap until water is dispensed from the spout of the tap (This will ensure the tank is full).
Plug the tank back in and allow to reach desired temperature.
Sometimes the float sensor in the tank can get caught with dirt / debris through the system and trigger the electronics to believe the tank is empty, flushing the system as described above should resolve the issue for you
Changing the filter
You need to turn the water off at the mains by the shut off valve, on both hot and cold. You need to complete this operation at least every 6 months.

How long is the cord from the boiler

Where is the serial number located so I can register my warranty

What If only have cold water feed.
You can still obtain boiling water from the tank. You would need to cap off the water feed to the unit for the hot water pipe
How to flush the system
- Step 1: Turn the tank off and allow to cool.
- Step 2: Shut off the water at the isolation valves and disconnect the two fittings from the top of the boiler.
- Step 3: Turn the boiler tank upside down and over the sink and drain off completely.
- Step 4: Return the tank under the sink and reconnect the two fittings then turn the valves back on
- Step 5: Power on the boiler and operate the boiler handle until water runs out of the spout.
- Step 6: Once reached temperature repeat these steps 3 times to fully flush the system.

Carbon Filter Questions
Is filtered drinking water provided by the Carbon Purity Filter?
No, the Carbon Purity Filter removes chemicals and characteristics from the water supply that flows to the boiling unit. This prevents deposits from forming on the heating element of the boiler unit and allows us to provide a two-year guarantee on the product. The standard hot and cold feeds are not filtered by the Carbon Purity Filter.
How frequently should the filters be changed?
Your carbon purity filter is to be changed at least every 6 months.
